Our Ethics
Safety
Safety is the number one priority at SD Facilities. We ensure the safety of our team, your employees, the public and anyone in the working area by rigorous and comprehensive risk assessments and up to date training. Every situation is given its own health and safety review before any work will commence and all activities are completed within the relevant regulations and statutory requirements.
Training
We are committed to the training and development of our staff and regularly take on apprentices on various different schemes. So far we’ve had one apprentice fully complete his training from start to finish over a period of 4 years, with one more to complete training this year and two more in the process of training. Alongside these apprenticeships we also undertake regular Health and safety training such as ECS, CSCS, manual handling, Asbestos awareness, first aid, working at height and IPAF accredited access training.
Environment
We dedicate ourselves to prevention, re-use, recycling (where applicable) and proper disposal of waste as a final solution. All activities are done within the confines of relevant legislation and regulations. If you choose to use our energy management service, not only is there potential for reduced utility costs but also a reduction in your carbon footprint.
Supporting local initiatives
We actively recruit from the local community and the majority of our apprentices are from the local area. At the same time we support and sponsor local clubs, businesses and initiatives such as:
Folkestone Rugby Club
Folkestone Bowls Club
The Folkestone Leas Lift
Age UK (Hythe and Lyminge)
